Kommentar:<\/strong> Es ist immer schon kein gutes Zeichen, wenn ich mich nicht zum Weiterlesen aufraffen kann, nachdem ich das Buch einmal weggelegt habe. Oder wenn ich zu lesen beginne, mir aber f\u00fcnf Minuten sp\u00e4ter was wahnsinnig Dringendes einf\u00e4llt, was ich unbedingt schnell im Internet nachschauen muss. Oder wenn ich gar anfange, andere Bewertungen zu sichten und nach negativen Rezensionen zu suchen, bevor ich ein Buch beendet habe. Nicht umsonst hab ich fast zwei Wochen an \u00bbAn Affair With Mr. Kennedy\u00ab herumgelesen. <\/p>\n Ich k\u00f6nnte gar nicht sagen, dass das Buch schlecht ist, es ist nur einfach absolut nichts f\u00fcr mich gewesen. Der Krimiplot hat mir rein thematisch \u00fcberhaupt nicht gefallen und der Aufbau hat mich nicht \u00fcberzeugt. Damit h\u00e4tte ich leben k\u00f6nnen, wenn wenigstens der Romanceanteil gut gewesen w\u00e4re. Das war aber mitnichten der Fall \u2013 die Lovestory lief superglatt, komplett konfliktfrei und bietet au\u00dfer einem Hauch sexueller Spannung zu Beginn nichts Mitrei\u00dfendes. Die Protagonisten empfand ich als ganz sympathisch, aber dennoch hab ich mich mit ihnen gelangweilt \u2013 selbst mit der fortschrittlichen bis rebellischen Cassie. <\/p>\n Vielleicht h\u00e4tte ich vorher wissen sollen, dass das Buch als \u00bbHistorical Romantic Suspense\u00ab eingeordnet wird, dann w\u00e4re ich auf der Hut gewesen, denn Romantic Suspense und ich passen einfach nicht zusammen. Ganz ausschlie\u00dfen w\u00fcrde ich dennoch nicht, Band 2 noch eine Chance zu geben, weil mich die Geschichte des selbstzerst\u00f6rerische Detective Rafe Lewis interessieren w\u00fcrde; vielleicht kann ich das Buch ja wieder bei Buchticket ergattern! \nObwohl mir das Cover \u00fcberhaupt nicht gef\u00e4llt, hat das Debut von Jillian Stone sofort meine Aufmerksamkeit erregt. Die Kombination aus viktorianischem Liebesroman und Scotland-Yard-Krimi klang perfekt f\u00fcr mich \u2013\u00a0leider hat sie tats\u00e4chlich aber \u00fcberhaupt nicht funktioniert. <\/p>\n
