Eine Mordserie nach dem Vorbild ber\u00fchmter T\u00f6tungsdelikte ersch\u00fcttert die kleine Gemeinde Lawrenceton im US-Bundesstaat Georgia. Die achtundzwanzigj\u00e4hrige Hobbydetektivin geh\u00f6rt zu dem Club \u201eEchte Morde\u201c, einer Gruppe von 12 Krimifans, die sich einmal im Monat treffen, um sich mit ber\u00fchmten oder ungel\u00f6sten Verbrechen zu befassen. Zu Beginn eines dieser Treffen findet Roe die Leiche eines Clubmitglieds.
